Overview: Webvia-CMS supports all HTML and XHTML design with support for graphics and animations, and any graphics format the Internet supports. It also fully supports JavaScript, AJAX, Java Applets, PHP 4/5, and MySQL 4/5. Webvia-CMS is completely web-based so multiple users can manage an enterprise web site without installing software on their client workstations, thus any workstation with a browser is compatible. The server which runs Webvia-CMS must simply support PHP4+ and MySQL, thats all. The system is reasonably priced, more reliable, and better supported then open-source CMS systems. Webvia-CMS Capabilities: The main editor can run in text-style edit mode or html-edit mode. Novice users are never required to use the html-edit mode for general web design, graphics, or animations. The system is template-based making the format of web pages easy, it initially contains 10 basic templates and you can add your own custom templates, as many as you wish. The system has many powerful plug-in features for advanced web content management. HTML Web Design: The Webvia-CMS content designer supports all the features of popular word processors such as MS Word or Star Office. You have a tool bar as you do with these word processors, you are not required to edit HTML tags directly unless you want to. You can also switch to full-page view for editing which actually gives you more editing area then Word or Star Office. You can also insert a number of custom plug-ins which give powerful content effects and special features in your web page content which are not available with standard HTML, though these features are supported by all browsers in the last few years. Graphics Support: You can upload any graphic image, maintain a database of available graphics, and insert them into your pages. You can also resize graphic images dynamically with the mouse-drag method, or by specifying dimensions. You can also set other properties of a graphic like a tool-tip message when you mouse over the image, or padding and borders around the image. User-accounts plug-in: Also the USER-ACCOUNTS plug-in can be placed on any page, thus allowing you to track web users and gather members for your web site or business. The user account system also includes a plug-in you can add to any page to limit that page to members only, if a member is not logged in they can not access the members only pages. Blogs, Articles, and Wiki plug-ins: Webvia-CMS has a Blog/Article system plug-in. Users who have become members (which gives them a username on the system) can create their own Blog subjects and/or Articles on any page implementing the BLOG-ARTICLE plug-in which is actually a pre-defined PHP code component, other users can then view these Blogs/Articles. A powerful Wiki article creation system is part of the Webvia-CMS package. When you create a link in Wiki you can search any page in your Webvia site for keywords, and also search through the Blogs/Articles for keywords, and this allows you to easily create Wiki links around your site. Of course you can link to any page on the Internet. Administration: Monitoring of who is logged-in and how long, what messages people have posted, and control of usernames and passwords are standard features. Webvia-CMS also allows email groups for grouping users and sending various emails to specific groups. Of course you can monitor hit-counts for the site. An HTML table spread-sheet of site traffic including users/postings between given dates can be displayed, and you can cut-n-paste it right into MS Excel or some other spread-sheet. JavaScript / AJAX Support: Webvia-CMS offers more then standard JavaScript and AJAX, though you can add any JavaScript you wish to a page. Webvia-CMS allows including of JavaScript plug-ins with common functions you would want for special page features. Also there are functions for Form validation, this allows validation of user input without submitting a Form page, and this is advanced beyond what is available with most CMS and web sites currently in existence. PHP Support: You can add PHP content to any page, there is no limit on this. In addition, Webvia-CMS offers pre-defined PHP functions for Cookie management and email support for your web site.
